As we all follow the changing rules regarding COVID in our community and nation, Bethlehem is committed to engaging in responsible protocols that serve the spiritual needs of the community while maintaining care and concern for the emotional and physical well-being of our Bethlehem family and friends. Toward that end the following adjustments in our COVID protocols will be effective May 23, 2021.
1) No more temperature-taking at the door (except for Summer Camp, School, and ELC).
2) Face masks/coverings will be optional (except for Summer Camp, School, and ELC).
3) No more fogging the worship space or wiping down surfaces between worship services.
4) Chains will be removed from the sanctuary, with the exception of the right side (pulpit side) and the back four rows of the two middle sections.
5) Food events will be allowed in the Commons, with attention to social distancing during the serving of the food with food served by servers.
6) Hymnals, Bibles, and worship cards will be returned to the pews (May 30, 2021)
We realize there may not be 100% agreement on these decisions. However, we encourage everyone to process disagreements in a spirit of Christian love and patience. We will continue to evaluate our practices against the metric of serving the Gospel of Jesus Christ in responsible Christian love.

WE NEED YOU to stay connected to our ministry. We have many staff on our ministry team who depend on your gifts, donations, and support for their livelihood. Our mission of reaching people with fullness of life in Jesus is also still on the front burner. There are several options for you to continue your financial support of our work together. We can help set you up on ACH for automatic withdrawal giving. Call the church office for the form. If you go to our website’s main page, on the far right there is an option to “Support the Ministry.” In addition, we have a brand NEW avenue for your convenience. The ability to text your gift or submit through the “GIVE PLUS” mobile app is now available. Click HERE for instructions on how to do so.
Some of you may be more comfortable mailing a check. Thank you for what you can do to keep the ministry of Bethlehem going during these challenging times. Especially in times like this, people need the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Other Ministries – As stated, all onsite group activities and ministries have been suspended. The church office will remain open.
The Table – We have started offering meals, at 6 pm every Thursday evening. There is a worship service in the building at 6:30 pm. Continue to pray for the means to provide this blessing to our Bethlehem family living on “the edge.”
OUR PROMISE TO YOU – We are living in unprecedented times. This is a very fluid situation. Our promise to you is to be timely in our responses and action plans. We will be honest with you about the reality of our situation. We will be unabashedly hopeful of how our awesome God is working in all this. The Lord is our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer!
