Executive Director 

At Bethlehem Church and School, we have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to join our team.  We are seeking an individual with a ministry heart to lead and provide oversight to all of Church operations and systems, accounting and finance, facilities and maintenance, and information technology. This person must have robust communication, organization, and strategic planning and management skills to effectively lead their department and staff. If you have the above skills and are passionate about encouraging, building up others, and have a desire to see people become fully alive in Jesus, we want to hear from you!   

Primary Responsibilities:

1.   Leadership/Supervision

  • Provide visionary leadership.
  • Recognize and cultivate the leadership potential of staff and volunteers.
  • Plan strategically and see plans through implementation.
  • Meet regularly with ministry leads and other staff to clarify vision, strategy, and goals.
  • Ensure all teams and work groups are aligned with the strategic goals, prioritizing programs, budgets, and tasks.
  • Recruit, supervise, and review the Director of Accounting and HR, the Director of Information Technology, the Church Office Manager, and the Property Maintenance Manager.
  • Serve as the staff lead for the Ministry Support Vision Implementation Team.

2.  Organizational Operations and Systems

  • Demonstrate skill in organizational management.
  • Work extremely well with people and help them realize their God-given potential.
  • Ensure the Church and School Offices function with appropriate resources and personnel to support the ministry staff and needs.
  • Provide leadership for a robust mobilization of volunteers.
  • Perform and/or assist in performing safety and crisis management training for staff and volunteers.
  • Communicate operational information, changes, or concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Plan for, and maintain, a balanced budget for all ministry assets, facilities, and operations.
  • Excel at efficient data capture, management, and analysis.
  • Establish document retention guidelines for legal documents, deeds, policies, budgets, and all financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory responsibilities, including employment and tax matters.

3.  Facility Management

  • Oversee the operations of a ministry-focused, safe, efficient, clean, and well-maintained facility.
  • Execute short-term and long-term planning for all church property and facilities.
  • Ensure that facility needs and capital improvements are managed and included in planning.
  • Oversee the Property Maintenance Manager in routine/preventative maintenance and planning.
  • Determine and prioritize an annual capital expenditures budget.
  • Serve as contact and purchasing agent with outside contractors for non-routine projects.
  • Ensure proper insurance of property and facilities, including vehicles.
  • Work with the appropriate staff to manage access systems/keys and security procedures.function

4.  Information Technology (IT)

  • Lead in a world of evolving technology and virtual realities.
  • Make information technology dance to implement systems.
  • Capitalize on automation processes.
  • Understand the power and potential of online presence and social media.
  • Provide leadership in developing a comprehensive technology plan and vision for the entire ministry.

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises the Director of Accounting and HR, the Director of Information Technology, the Church Office Manager, and the Property Maintenance Manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Associates (A.A.) or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and/or a minimum 5 years of management and supervisory experience.

EARLY LEARNING CENTER LEAD TEACHER 
Bethlehem ELC is looking for a Lead teacher with a great love of Jesus, that will provide a warm, nurturing, and accepting environment for young children and their families.  You will collaborate with supportive staff to establish developmentally appropriate classrooms, create activities and lesson plans that foster discovery of God’s gifting for each child, and apply your personal gifts and talents to share with a community of believers.  If you love working with young children, please apply

Requirements: 

  • Be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (24 hours per week)
  •  Meet education &/or experience requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in a related area or, an Associate’s Degree in child development or Early Childhood Education, or two years of college (60 credit hours) with one course in ECE and 910 hours of experience or an Early Childhood Certification.
  •  Be able to meet the State of Colorado 7.712.42 age and training regulations. 

 

Kitchen Staff

Bethlehem is in need of Kitchen help for our School Lunch Program and ministry needs. You will assist in the preparation of nutritious and attractive meals made from scratch. Meals include USDA compliant kid favorite foods. This is a rewarding and fun position working in a collaborative environment with school faculty, students, and ministry staff.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get out of the restaurant rat race and work in a caring and nurturing school environment. Join our team and help grow our food service program to serve not only our school students, but also their families, our ministry needs and outreach opportunities for the community.

This is a part time position; however, benefits include a tuition discount for our K-8 School &/or Early Learning Center preschool program.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with food activities and kitchen operations, maintaining high quality standards for food service, cleanliness, safety, health and inspections producing meals that are delicious, nutritious and attractive.

Attend annual on-line USDA training

Previous food service experience is desired.

School Year Kitchen Manager

Bethlehem Lutheran School is seeking an experienced school lunch program manager proficient in USDA School Lunch program operations.  

Duties of the Kitchen Manager include:

· Maintaining all USDA standards and requirements. 

· Managing the Free and Reduced Lunch program

· Utilizing commercial kitchen equipment in the preparation and cooking of menu items.

· Monitoring production sheets.

· Monitoring inventory

· Food prep

· Serving fresh hot meals Monday through Friday.

Our School Kitchen Manager will possess these qualifications:

· Previous food preparation experience.

· Inventory experience.

· Time management in a fast-paced environment

· Kind, caring, and likes kids.

· Focus on kid satisfaction.

· Detail oriented.

· Fundamental math and computer skills.

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6 hours a day, no evenings or weekends

School Year - Mid-August through the end of May

Nursery Worker

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY - (Essential Functions, Leadership, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Provides child care for various church activities for children ages 6 and under 
  • Welcomes parents and families into the nursery in a caring way to create a warm, friendly environment
  • Utilizes the computerized check-in system to keep the nursery safe and secure
  • Is first-aid and CPR trained and attend Safe Church
  • Communicates with Director of Ministry to Children and their Families to ensure shifts are covered
  • Is responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of the nursery
  • Organizes and labels toys/supplies and sanitizes these items regularly

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma and child-care experience
  • First-aid/CPR training

Bethlehem K-8 school needs Lead Staff to support the after from school program.  If you like working with kids, helping them with homework, or just helping them have fun and wind down after a busy day in the classroom we would like you to join our team!
