Memory Verse: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6

God guides us...  Even when we go our own way.

Read together: Exodus 32

Is it hard for you to be patient?  Waiting for something can be frustrating.  Its hard to wait for something you really want.  The Isrealites were waiting for Moses to come back from talking to God.  Instead of being patient and waiting for Moses to come back, the Isrealites got restless.   Because God didn't do what they wanted Him to right away, they figured God had forgotten about them. They were impatient. The Isrealites then  took matters into their own hands and instead of waiting, decided to build and worship a golden calf. Instead of waiting for God to guide them, they took matters into their own hands.  Not only did they have bad results, but also disobeyed the commands God had given them.  Even though the Isrealites did not obey,  God still guided and loved them even when they went their own way!And the awesome part? God still guides and loves us even when we do not follow Him!

Talk about it:  Talk about a time when you didn't follow someone's guidance.  What happened?
